About the Band

Columbia & District Pipe Band is based in Columbia County, New York, with links to the Nassau, Valatie and Claverack area. The band is an active community and competition pipe band in the Hudson Valley and wider upstate New York scene.

Publicly available history is limited, but records show the band taking part in regional Highland games and pipe band contests, including Grade 4 competition at the Hudson Valley Pipe Band Championships. It has also appeared at community events such as the Kingston St Patrick’s Parade and local celebrations in Columbia County.
