About the Band

Elliott Bay Pipe Band is based in Seattle, Washington, USA, and was founded in 1992. Since then, it has become part of the Pacific Northwest pipe band scene, bringing together pipers and drummers of different ages, backgrounds and experience levels.

The band is community-focused, welcoming beginners, returning players and experienced musicians, with regular rehearsals in Seattle’s Roosevelt district. While it competes, including as a Grade 4 band, its main emphasis is on playing together, public performance and keeping Scottish pipe band music active in the Seattle area.

Elliott Bay performs at events such as St Patrick’s Day celebrations, Burns Night functions, Highland games and the annual Father’s Day concert at the Ballard Locks. Today, it continues to promote piping and drumming through performance, mentoring and community involvement in the Pacific Northwest.
