About the Band
FC St. Pauli Pipes & Drums is based in Hamburg, Germany, and is the pipe band section of FC St. Pauli. The band was formed in 2015 and became an official amateur sports department of FC St. Pauli in December 2017.
The group teaches both Highland bagpipes and Scottish drumming, including snare, tenor and bass drum. Its focus is on developing new players while building a competition band capable of performing at international contests, concerts and stage events.
The band reflects the wider St. Pauli identity: community-based, inclusive and connected to one of Germany’s most distinctive football clubs. Today, FC St. Pauli Pipes & Drums continues to promote Scottish pipe band music in Hamburg through tuition, performance and competition development.
