About the Band

The 35 Club Pipe Band is based in Brittany, France, with links to Ille-et-Vilaine and the Saint-Malo area. It is a relatively new pipe band project supported by Sonerion 35, created for experienced musicians from local Breton bagadoù who want to develop Scottish-style pipe band playing at a higher level.

The aim of the project is to bring players together, improve standards, and compete in national and international pipe band contests. In 2025, The 35 Club appeared in Grade 3A activity, including performances in Brittany and a trip to Glasgow for the World Pipe Band Championships.

Today, The 35 Club Pipe Band represents the growing link between Breton bagad culture and the Scottish pipe band tradition, giving experienced Breton pipers and drummers a route into international pipe band competition.
