About the Band

Montreal Pipes & Drums is based on the island of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The band was founded in 2000 under the direction of Jordon Anderson and is described as the only independent bagpipe and drum band on the island of Montreal.

The band brings together musicians of different backgrounds and experience levels, performing at parades, festivals, community events and cultural celebrations. It has appeared at events such as the Montreal St Patrick’s Parade and other Celtic and Scottish gatherings in Quebec.

Montreal Pipes & Drums practises at the Royal Canadian Legion in Dorval and continues to welcome new pipers and drummers. Today, it promotes Highland piping and drumming in Montreal through performance, teaching, competition and community involvement.
