About the Band

Jacksonville Pipes & Drums is based in Jacksonville, Florida, USA, and was organised in 1984. It operates as a Florida not-for-profit organisation with a focus on promoting Celtic heritage, Scottish music and traditional Highland piping and drumming.

The band functions as both a performance group and teaching programme, encouraging public recognition of Celtic history, traditions and cultural contribution. It performs at community events, parades, Scottish gatherings, ceremonies and private engagements across north-east Florida.

Jacksonville Pipes & Drums is also active in competition, with recent Grade 5 appearances under the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association Southern Branch. Today, the band continues to support piping and drumming in Jacksonville through tuition, performance and competition.
