About the Band

The TNT Public Safety Pipe Band is based in Cleburne, Texas, and is part of the wider Tartan & Taps / TNT public safety piping and drumming programme. The project is closely linked with the Waco Firefighters Honor Guard and grew out of a first-responder-centred pipe and drum clinic, giving the band a strong public safety and memorial-service identity.

The band brings together pipers and drummers from across the United States, with roster records showing players connected from Texas, Oregon, California, Virginia, Colorado, Florida, Indiana, and beyond. That gives TNT a more national “assembled squad” character than a traditional town pipe band.

TNT Public Safety Pipe Band has competed in Grade 5, including appearances at events such as the Stone Mountain Highland Games, and has also appeared in public safety pipe band settings including Police Week events.

While detailed founding records are limited online, the band’s purpose is clear: honouring first responders, building pipe band skills through the TNT clinic network, and carrying a bit of Texas-grown Highland thunder onto the competition field.
