About the Band

Riverina Highlanders Pipe Band is an Australian pipe band associated with the Riverina region of New South Wales. The band was originally established in autumn 2014 with the aim of travelling to Indonesia to compete at the Jakarta Highland Games, giving the group an early international focus.

The band returned to Jakarta the following year and achieved strong results across both solo and band competitions, helping build its profile beyond Australia. More recently, Riverina Highlanders has competed in Grade 4B, including appearances at Victorian pipe band events such as the Melbourne Highland Games and Celtic Festival.

Today, Riverina Highlanders continues to represent regional Australian piping through competition, performance and international engagement. In 2026, the band is scheduled to perform at the Belfast International Tattoo, marking another important step in its development.
