About the Band

NSW Highlanders Pipe Band, also known as New South Wales Highlanders Pipe Band, is an Australian competition pipe band with origins in Wingham, New South Wales. The band was established in 2015 and has grown into an active Pipe Bands Australia organisation, drawing players from across the region.

The band has developed through state and national competition, including appearances at events such as the Australian Celtic Festival. In 2024, NSW Highlanders prepared to travel to Scotland to compete at the World Pipe Band Championships, marking a major step in its development and giving the band international exposure.

Today, NSW Highlanders continues to represent regional New South Wales through competition, performance and player development, contributing to the wider Australian pipe band scene.
