Kirkistown Pipe Band is based in County Down, Northern Ireland, and was first formed in 1946. The band ran successfully for several decades before ceasing activity around 1980. It later reformed at the turn of the century, with sources giving the return as 1999/2000, and has since re-established itself on the Northern Ireland pipe band circuit.

The band wears the Davidson tartan and competes regularly under the RSPBA Northern Ireland Branch, where recent listings place it in Grade 4B. It remains part of the strong community pipe band tradition in the Ards and North Down area, performing at contests, parades and cultural events.

Today, Kirkistown Pipe Band continues to build on its post-reformation years, balancing competition with community performance and local tuition.
